FAQWhat's the age requirement to apply?
We ask that anyone who applies to be +14. As for mod roles, you must be +16 to apply. For financing mod and shipping mod, you must be +18 considering how important those roles are for the zine.Will there be NSFW?
Absolutely not. We wish to respect the wishes of TWF cast and allow this zine to be open to anyone. Horror content and gore to an extent is allowed in the zine.Is ship content allowed?
For the comfort of Rosemary, only Jack x Rosemary content regarding ships will be allowed in the zine. We apologize to anyone who wanted to draw other Jack ship artwork.Will this zine be for-profit?
Yes! If you do not wish to accept money or can't for whatever reason we can donate the money to a charity of your choosing!Do I need to have a certain amount of followers to be accepted?
We do not look at popularity for who can and cannot get in. You can have 0 followers or 10,000 and still have just as much as a chance as another applicant.Do I still have a chance of getting in the zine even if I get rejected?
In the case of someone being dropped for whatever reason, we will have a list of applicants who agreed to potentially taking a spot for the zine if such a thing happens.Can we draw other characters?
As long as the focus is Jack, feel free to draw other characters!Will there be writing contributions?
Of course! As for what you will be writing, this will be decided through interest check for the zine.What's the requirements for zine pieces?
1,000-3,000 words for writers, 8.5 x 11 inches + 300 dpi for artists.Can I use my personal headcanons for Jack in my work?
As long as the headcanon isn't anything like him being transphobic or homophobic, feel free! We understand many people headcanon Jack as neurodivergent, trans, etc as a way to project onto him and that's perfectly okay!Was your question not answered? Drop us a question here!
Application Guidelines - Moderator ApplicationsFinance Mod: As a finance moderator, you will be responsible for calculating finances and paying contributors. Your bank or Paypal account will be attatched to the zine's website, and any sales we make will go to your wallet beforehand. You will be trusted in making sure each artist recieves equal payment, and we will take legal action if we find out funds are being embezzled. In your application, you will be expected to provide us with at least a fake or previous mock budget. Prior zine experience is highly preferred, real-world finance and accounting experience is sufficient. Applicants must be 18+.Shipping & Production Mod: As a shipping & production moderator, you will be responsible for sourcing suppliers and working within our budget to produce the final products, e.g. the physical zine and associated merchandise. You will also be expected to receive and ship the proof copies and final products from your residence. Prior zine experience or experience with shipping merchandise is strongly preferred. Applicants must be 18+ and based in either Canada or the US.Layout & Design Mod: As a layout & design moderator, you will be responsible for laying out the zine, e.g. Table of Contents, credits page, title page, and formatting for art and writing. You should have access to and knowledge in working with publishing software such as InDesign or other alternatives, and show proof of this in your application. We'd also like to see your personal artwork / doodle style, as you will be responsible for creating Jack's doodles in the margins of each writing section. Prior experience with formatting publications (e.g. zines, comic PDFs, yearbooks, etc.) is a must.Promotional Mod: As a promotional moderator, you will be responsible for directing and editing a promotional video for our Halloween giveaway. This will be a short skit, and you will be required to work with Voice Actors, Script Writers, Storyboard Artists, and Finalized artists. You will give feedback on the work handed to you along with the help of our Founders, Writing Mod, and Art Mod. No prior zine experience is required, experience with video production is a must. Please include a video you have made that demonstrates your understanding of editing and direction in your application.Art Mod: As an art moderator, you will be responsible for performing check-ins with our merch & page artists, and giving feedback that will help them grow. You will be expected to be detailed and honest in the critique you give. Prior zine experience is preferred, experience with drawing is a must. Please include an example of feedback you have given an artist, and show how it helped them edit their piece. We'd also like to see an example of your personal artwork. You may be accepted as both an art mod and a merch or page artist, and in this case, your fellow art moderators will give you art critique instead.Writing Mod: As a writing moderator, you will be responsible for performing check-ins with our writers and giving feedback that will help them grow. You will be expected to be detailed and honest in the critique you give. Prior zine experience is preferred, experience with writing is a must. Please include an example of feedback you have given a writer, and show how it helped them edit their work. We'd also like to see an example of your personal writing. You may be accepted as both a writing mod and a writer, and in this case, your fellow writing moderators will give you writing critique instead.
